Witr salaah

As-salaam-o-alaikum, My question is: If someone does not pray witr salaah, is his fajr salaah valid? I read on one of the website that if one misses witr salaah and prays fajr salaah without praying qadha of witr salaah, his fajr salaah is invalid. On that website it says 10. If only the Witr prayer has been missed, it has to be offered before Fajr prayer next morning. If a person has offered the Fajr prayer without first offering the missed Witr prayer, he will have to offer the Witr prayer and repeat the Fajr prayer. The reason I am asking this question is because I am 45 years old and I used to miss my salaah but recently from the past few months I have started praying farz salaah but I miss my witr prayer. I wanted to know that is my fajr, Zuhr, asr, maghrib and Isha salaah valid or do I have to repeat all the prayers. Allahhafiz Naushad karim

If someone has missed no more than 5 prayers, then they will be a Sahibut Tarteeb meaning it is compulsory (Wajib) upon them to pray the prayers in order. So, as long as there is enough time to pray the missed prayers, without the time for the current prayer finishing, they will have to pray the missed prayers first. The missed prayers will have to be offered in order, starting from the first missed prayer then the second and so on until they do not have any missed prayers left. Only then they can pray the current prayer.

However, if someone has missed 6 prayers or more, then they will no longer remain a Sahibut Tarteeb and they no longer need to follow the order of prayers. They can pray the current prayers before completing the previous missed prayers. When making up the missed prayers (whether it is Witr or any other Fard prayer), they have to make the intention of making up either the first or the last prayer they missed.

In the situation described, your prayers are valid given you are not a Sahibut Tarteeb.
